The Impendle Story
April 17, 2023

Impendle is a rural village situated between Boston and Bulwer in the Kwazulu-Natal midlands of South Africa. A number of believers started gathering together in a nearby municipal owned community hall building. Their meetings were frequently interrupted as the building was not their own. Land was identified and purchased and on 5 February 2022 the foundations for the first building was excavated by members of the community and men from the Destiny Leadership Academy, a subset of One Life Church.

Exactly one year later, on 5 February 2023, the buildings were opened with much rejoicing and celebration. Zulu dance groups entertained the crowd along with a delegation representing the Chief of the village as well as the Induna and his family. The gathering feasted on a meal provided by members of the community. It was a memorable day. On 17 March 2023 One Life Foundation provided skills training and planted seedlings as part of the social upliftment programmes. This marked the beginning of many such programmes to follow.
